ANGEL CHICKEN KITCHEN
Today for lunch my colleagues and I went to Angel Chicken Kitchen. Honestly, I thought this was going to be just like every other chicken joint. I am thinking, what could possibly be different about this place? However, I must say I was pleasantly surprised how great their food and service were.
Angel Chicken is known for their simple, honest food, made from scratch. As soon as we walked in Angel Chicken, we were immediately greeted by their welcoming, accommodating staff. At first glance the menu can be a little overwhelming because of the variety of foods they have. After reviewing the menu for a while, you begin to notice they have an Asian/Mediterranean inspiration with a twist of Southern cuisine dishes.
When it was time for me to place my order, I was torn between the Rancher sandwich and the Chicken and Pancakes. I chose the Chicken and Pancakes. My colleagues chose the Teriyaki bowl and the Rancher sandwich.
CHICKEN & PANCAKES – $8.99
I received three juicy, crispy seasoned chicken breast tenders served with pancakes and maple syrup. The food was mouthwatering!
TERIYAKI BOWL – $8.79
My colleague KC received grilled chicken breast tossed in sweet chili soy sauce. served with choice of rice or quinoa, and seasonal veggies.
RANCHER – 6.99
My colleague Jazmine received a crispy chicken breast on biscuit with bbq ranch, cheddar cheese, lettuce, pickles.
Oh! I forgot to mention while waiting for our food, we received complimentary biscuits, jalapeno jam, honey and butter from one of the staff members.
They serve fresh biscuits made by hand, with yeast and real butter daily! When I tell you, these biscuits did not stand a chance with us!! They were so warm and buttery. We devoured them like it was the last supper!
All in all. The food was very tasty! There were a few other dishes that I wanted to try, so I will definitely be back again to try those!
