Galentine’s Day Celebration With My Girls!

Happy Galentine’s Day! 

Now whether you are single or not, you always need to celebrate G a l e n t i n e ’ s  D a y –  with your girlfriends! Lord knows we would be lost without our girls. They are always going to be there, through the thick and thin and the seasons of no Valentines!

This year, to celebrate Galentine’s my girls and I got all dressed up and went to the restaurant Rise N°1. They are known for their delicious illustrious soufflésRise N°1 is situated in a whimsically designed venue where literally every object of art is for sale. Diners can start their experience with a selection from the 50 wines available by the glass and half-glass. As the soufflés take time to prepare, begin with a simple salad or onion soup.

Entrees can include a multiple selections like Escargot Soufflé topped with Goat Cheese and Pesto, Ham and Gruyere or Truffle-infused Wild Mushroom. The cheese trolley will be presented next and then finish with a Grand Marnier soufflé for a memorable desert. (See pictures below).

For dinner I ordered: A Rise N°1  side salad, Crab Soufflé for the entrée, and the Bananas Foster Soufflé for dessert.

CRAB SOUFFLÉ
This is a seasonal item that isn’t on the menu, but when my waiter told me about it, I knew I had to get it. If you know me, I love ALL THINGS CRAB!  Pretty much every bite you take has a creamy cheesy piece of crabmeat in it. It’s absolutely amazing! I love how its so light and fluffy! Yum Yum Yum!!!!

Now honestly speaking, at this point in the meal I was kind of full but not really?? It’s really hard to describe. I was also torn between the two desserts of Praline Pecan on Banana’s Foster. However, I chose the Banana Foster because it was a seasonal dessert…. And of course the waiter insisted that I  try it.  Oh but when I tell you, I was disappointed with the this “sweet soufflé” selection after my delicious crab soufflé.

This dessert had NO TASTE AT ALL!  There were some parts  that were sweet, and the others just tasted like a breaded piece of egg. It was a huge disappointment after eating the crab soufflé.

Overall I had a blast spending time with my girls at Rise N°1  and my 2018 G a l e n t i n e ’ s  D a y  celebration was a success! I can’t wait until next year to celebrate again! Thank you Monee for planning such a great outing!
